V1 Launching site

Location:

In forest, near a place called "Auge Gottes" in Bruchhausen, Germany. It not far from the famous German town of Remagen.

History:

This V1 launching site was build in the last months of the second World War. It was meant for launching V1's to the advancing Allied armies. Because of the fast advancing American troops, it never came to any launching of V1's on this site. The German V1 unit withdrew to the north of Germany.

Current status:

This is probably the only V1 launching site, although never used in Germany left. Not for from this one are the remains of another launching site. There are sever concrete roads and remains in that area.
